March Madness for Wine Lovers

Quick get your March Madness Passport! Passports are $30 each and may be used each weekend in March at all nine wineries that will be featuring a special wine and food pairing each weekend. In addition, you will receive a deluxe Wine Trail corkscrew as a gift. After having your passport stamped at each winery, you will be eligible for a drawing of over 20 prizes. It is a March Madness Pierogi party at Clover Hill. Getting in touch with our local foods; Clover Hill will be sampling 2 pierogies. A traditional style pierogi made with Yukon Gold potatoes, cheddar cheese and onions will be paired with the 2006 Merlot. A non-traditional pierogi will be made with jalapeno cream cheese and paired with Riesling.

Join Clover Hill Winery for our Asian Influence Weekend. Vidal Blanc paired with chicken and smoked bacon skewers with an Asian barbecue glaze. A vegetarian option will be available as well.

Lehigh Valley AVA Celebration

The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail Winery and Vineyard owners have a love for the land and are proud to be grape growers. We are especially proud that in April of 2008 we received an AVA designation (American Viticulture Area) known as the "Lehigh Valley." An AVA is a federal designation that enables vintners to better describe the origin of their wines and to allow consumers to identify wines they purchase. The Lehigh Valley AVA is distinguished in part by rolling hillsides, an agricultural climate and soil composed mainly of shale, sandstone and siltstone. Celebrate our AVA by enjoying the wines from the wine trail labeled with the AVA designation of the Lehigh Valley. Know that you are drinking something that is locally produced, unique, and specifically crafted to best showcase the Lehigh Valley! Check back soon for more celebration details!
